It was ment as a joke but my Father inlaw Loves it I have always told him cooking wasn't hard and now that my mother inlaw isn't able to cook everything he is slowly learning to cook for them himself and I can't believe he hasn't had one question about how to use the new slow cooker I got them with this book for Christmas
Bought this to put into a fund raising gift basket. Was only able to thumb through it and was impressed with the information and ideas provided. Would recommend it for long time and new slow cooker users.
Too much extraneous information and difficult recipes. Could use more easier recipes.
I received a slow cooker (crockpot) for Christmas. I knew absolutely nothing about cooking in a slow cooker. Then I noticed "Slow Cookers For Dummies" on Amazon. This book is great--it contains everything anyone would want to know about cooking in a slow cooker. I love the humor the author has put in as well as some great recepies.
good book. Lots of info in it. since most people know basics about crock pots though, I do feel like it should be more bullet pointed and "reference-y" but still, I always have loved the "for dummies" books. very very concise and thorough.
really disappointing! information on crockpot was ok but most of book is full of recipes for oven or stove pot.
Helps teach how to adapt recipes to slow cookers. It is a great teaching and reference tool to add to your recipe books. Recommend it highly !
I bought this book as a gift for my nephew who is a college student to help him learn how to use a crock pot to cook in while he was in class, so that when he comes home he has a hot, healthy meal waiting.
